Junior Lifesaving is a 3 level program: Junior Lifesaver 101, 102 and 103. Each level covers different fitness and lifesaving skills to prepare swimmers for their Lifeguarding courses. Each lesson is 30 minutes. Pre requisite is Learn to Swim Level 10 or Swimmer 6. Program descriptions are listed below. Become a Junior Lifesaver today!
Junior Lifesaving
In this level, swimmers will be introduced to the world of lifesaving. Some of the skills they will learn are: reverse and ready position, victim recognition and simulation, lifesaving kicks, head up front crawl and breaststroke, 400m fitness swim in 16min as well as some lifesaving situations.


Junior Lifesaver 102
This is the second level of lifesaving and is building on the skills from Junior Lifesaver 101. Swimmers will learn: victim removals, more intense fitness activities using head up front crawl and breaststroke, eggbeater with a 5lb object, first aid treatments and a 400m swim in 15 min.
Junior Lifesaver 103
This is the last level of our lifesaving level before swimmers can begin their Bronze Medallion course. Swimmers will demonstrate rescue situations using reaching and throwing assists, first aid treatment of bleeding, compression-only CPR, towing rescues, and 400m swim in 14 min.
